a simple red rayon crepe sheath dress from William Travilla, but since it is a Travilla, it is of excellent quality and tailoring, with fine fabric that hugs your curves in the most flattering manner, bright lipstick red with long sleeves and a stand-up mandarin collar, concealed back zipper, no shoulder padding, with a mid-calf length, fully lined in red satin through the body but not the sleeves, made in the 1980s but never out of date, label reads “YT by Travilla”, size 10, very good condition with no damage, just faint soiling inside the neckline, which will come out in a quick trip to the cleaners, $45

from one of my favorite icons, Mr Blackwell, is this drop-dead gorgeous dress and jacket set from the 1960s, bright psychedelic swirls of color liberally laced with gold metallic, simple sleeveless sheath dress (which Blackwell told me he created), with hip-length mandarin collar jacket with snap front and small concealed waist pockets, both pieces fully lined in turquoise satin, fits about size 8-10, 36-32-38, very good condition with no damage, $175
