magnificent full length red brocade gown from Arnold Scaasi, 1980s, dramatic strapless cleavage-enhancing bodice, sweeping skirt with a horsehair-lined red satin underskirt, a red crinoline, and a red horsehair weight in the hemline, boning through the bodice along with lots of handstitching and expertly finished seams, label in the neck reads “Scaasi Boutique”, handwritten and numbered tag near the hem, size 12, excellent condition with no damage, $550

This one is just too wonderful for words – 1950s ladies two-tone rayon bowling shirt, big red felted transfer on the back “Shakey’s Pizza Parlor Ye Public House”, and yes, it’s entirely original, white trimmed with red, white lucite buttons, two breast pockets, red gussets behind the shoulders, label reads “Kingpin Bowling Apparel”, size 34, fits Small, very good condition with no damage, $150

Travilla 1980s red rayon sheath dress

a simple red rayon crepe sheath dress from William Travilla, but since it is a Travilla, it is of excellent quality and tailoring, with fine fabric that hugs your curves in the most flattering manner, bright lipstick red with long sleeves and a stand-up mandarin collar, concealed back zipper, no shoulder padding, with a mid-calf length, fully lined in red satin through the body but not the sleeves, made in the 1980s but never out of date, label reads “YT by Travilla”, size 10, very good condition with no damage, just faint soiling inside the neckline, which will come out in a quick trip to the cleaners, $45
