brilliant Gaultier mustard mens wool sport coat

Yes, it’s a brilliant design, but before you get too excited, it has some condition issues, and we’ll talk about those later. In the meantime, it’s a fantastic sport coat from vintage 1980s Jean Paul Gaultier, collectible and treasured. Lightweight wool serge in a distinctive mustard color, double-breasted with peak lapels, covered buttons, even on the cuffs. The shoulders are bold and the waist is severly tight. All the detail work – linings, trims, pockets, buttonholes – is exceptionally well-executed.
It was made in Italy, and is marked size 46 Italian, and fits only 36 American. But the shoulders are generous (huge). We’re selling it for a pittance because of the condition troubles. It has some faint overall small spotting in the center of the back. But it also has had some moth visits, with about 20 moth holes and surface abrasions scattered. Wear it in the dark and no one will notice. Or save it as a legendary piece of fashion history. $50
